The 2013 Escapade RV Rally will take place in Gillette, Wyoming starting June 30th and ending on July 5th. This is where the Escapees Club members gather each year to celebrate the birthday of the origination of the organization.

The Escapees Club is comprised of folks who share a common interest; the RV lifestyle. The first birthday celebration at Escapade took place in 1979, and there were about 24 families involved. The Escapade event of today is attended by over 1,500 families, and is comprised of over 50,000 members. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the club. These birthday celebrations are open to the public, whether you have an RV or not.

During Escapade, attendees can enjoy a great lineup of educational workshops offered. They are designed to teach RV owners more about the recreational vehicle lifestyle. This is a great opportunity for motorhome travelers to get to know other RVers and learn about more places to see and do on RV vacations. Attendees may show up at Escapade not knowing anyone there, but they will certainly leave with a new circle of friends, from whom they can glean knowledge about the joys of taking trips in an RV.

This year’s Escapade will take place at the Cam-Plex Multi-Event Center in Gillette, Wyoming starting on June 30th and ending on July 5th, 2013. There are 1,700 full-hookup and boondocking sites available on the 1,100-acre site. Interested parties should make their reservations quickly, as they sell out fast. There is always a charitable event that benefits from the Escapees’ annual get together at Escapade. This year the focus will be on a food drive benefitting the Campbell County Council of Community Services. The community as a whole also benefits from the huge influx of RVers during Escapade. These attendees patronize local shops and restaurants to the tune of approximately one million dollars, which is a helpful shot in the arm to any economy.
