Technically speaking, a vacation is a period of exemption from work that is granted to an employee, a period during which a normally scheduled event (like school or work) is suspended, or a period of time spent away from home and/or work with time dedicated to travel and/or recreation. Pinning down the exact meaning of a vacation can be quite difficult because different vacationers have different priorities and preferences. Some prefer excitement while others prefer relaxation and so on. Regardless of personal vacationing preference, the Class B Motorhome can provide the means for success.
Many associate pampering with vacationing and since getting back to nature is a popular theme in the RVing world, some RVers will enjoy incorporating a natural spa day. There are a number of natural beauty tips to pamper the RVer that can easily be planned and implemented while “on the road” in the Class B motorhome.
On the Road Pampering: Simple Beauty Tips for the Class B Motorhome
1. Brown Sugar and Honey Facial Scrub – Exfoliation and Cleansing
Equal amounts brown sugar and honey combine to create a scrub that naturally rids pores of dirt, oil and dead skin that can cause blemishes. The natural antibacterial qualities of honey work alongside the brown sugar to prevent future breakouts.
2. Avocado and Carrot Mask – Rebuild Natural Collagen, Tone Skin and Remove Age Spots
1 avocado, 1 cooked carrot, ½ cup heavy cream, 1 egg and 3 tablespoons honey. Combine ingredients and create a paste. The completed mask should be applied for 20 minutes and then rinsed off.
3. Oatmeal Soak – Soften Skin
1 cup of natural oatmeal ground up in a blender or coffee grinder should be added to bath water.
4. Lemon and Egg Facial – Alleviate Facial Splotches and Redness
Mix one egg yolk with the juice of one lemon. Cover the face with the paste. The paste should stay on the face for a minimum of one hour (overnight is recommended) and then rinsed.
5. Skim Milk Powder Facial Wash – Gentle Facial Cleanser
Skim milk powder can be used to replace daily face wash. This results in softer facial skin and a smoother complexion. It’s a very gentle option and can often be used even for those with sensitive skin.
6. Honey and Olive Oil Facial Moisturizer – Deep and Lasting Moisturizing
Combine equal amounts honey and olive oil (a dash of lemon juice is optional). The pasty lotion should be applied to dry skin and allowed to sit for 10-20 minutes.
7. Apple Cider Vinegar Cleanser and Toner – Tone Skin
Raw apple cider vinegar can be used directly on the skin as a natural and effective skin toner.
The majority of natural beauty treatments are food based making obtaining the ingredients convenient, easy and affordable. Most are also simple to create with little to no preparation required. The Class B motorhome is equipped with all the RVer needs to enjoy a day of pampering that could have lasting beautifying effects. It’s the complete spa day on the road or, in other words, getting back to nature in the Class B motorhome.
RVers can schedule a day of pampering during the typical road trip vacation easily and without substantially increasing the overall vacation budget. RVers shouldn’t overlook the ability to incorporate any “vacation” favorite on the road. It’s one of the beauties of the Class B motorhome.
