Do your children spend all of their free or extra-curricular time on the internet, playing video games, or watching television? If this is you, get ready to take a vacation back to nature with your entire family in your Class C RV.
Packing Tips for your Class C Nature weekend
When preparing to pack your Class C for your family weekend, take the essentials and leave the rest at home. Make sure you check the weather at the spot you are going to visit, so that you pack appropriately. Take hiking boots, socks, a few changes of clothing, a hat, and a sweatshirt. Store bug spray, sunscreen, and a first aid kit in your Class C recreational vehicle.
Take the following
Some extra items that you won’t want to forget to pack in your Class C RV are binoculars, a magnifying glass, and any identifying adventure books. These books can be fun in identifying birds, nature, and wildlife. Take your camera and a blank scrapbook to document the trip. If you plan on hiking, make sure you have water bottles (reusable) and easy to carry snack foods on board your Class C before leaving.
Leave this at home
This Class C RV adventure should be about family time, so say no to all electronics. No iPods, video games, or other technological items should be allowed on board. You, as the adult, must have a cell phone for emergencies, but other than that, take the time to enjoy one another’s laughter and company.
What if it rains?
It may rain or you may want a day inside your motorhome. So, just in case, make sure you bring along some good books, a deck of cards, or even board games. Playing games is fun, as is reading books out loud. You will have fun with the whole family! Make sure you pack age-appropriate games for all of the children in the Class C excursion.
Don’t stress about the food
Hamburgers and hotdogs, along with fresh fruits and veggies, are always good for camping. They can be grilled over an open flame or campfire, even the veggies can be skewered, and homemade S’mores are never a letdown.
You and your family will enjoy every moment of your technology free weekend.
