RVers on the road in their motorhome Class C see a wide variety of sights. They enjoy new adventures regularly. Many don’t spend a lot of time actually inside their recreational vehicle. They spend their days out hang gliding, fishing, mountain biking, hiking, swimming, and doing all manner of activities that they can never seem to find the time to enjoy at home. On the days when they aren’t enjoying recreational activities, they can often be found standing still and staring at natural vistas that they’ve never paused to notice until they were in the middle of nowhere with their RV parked and time on their hands.
Both adventurous recreational activities and never before seen natural wonders inspire almost every traveler, RVer or not, to do one thing. That one thing is to take photos. Travelers are creating memories. Photos preserve those memories and provide the unique opportunity to share them with those who aren’t present. One element of photography that allows for many opinions and scenarios is what to do with them once they’ve been taken.
Some travelers are fairly private. Their memories, and their photos, are their own. They may have them printed and mount them in simple photo books. They may save them on photo DVDs or digital storage devices for their own access.
Then there are the travelers who want everyone they know to enjoy their travels alongside them. They enjoy emailing their photos out to friends and loved ones. They may access online storage sites that allow them to designate additional viewers for their online photo albums. Some of these online photo sharing sites include: Flickr, Shutterfly, Snapfish, Pinterest, Facebook, etc.
Some travelers who truly enjoy the art of photography have their photos professional printed in hardbound books available through several outlets including: Shutterfly, Snapfish, Heritage Books, etc. Full-time RVers tend to lean towards digital storage of photos and online sharing options because physically printing off the photos means storing them in books which require space in the motorhome class C, but those who are simply part time RVers often enjoy being able to pick up a book of their “memories” from that trip to Niagra Falls or Fossil Springs.
Travel results in an amazing number of truly superb photos. Pedata RV Center would like to recognize the importance of photography in RVing by hosting a photo contest. RVers are invited to send in photos of their favorite camping locations. The winner will receive a $50.00 gift card to use for parts and accessories on the Pedata RV Center website. The winner will also receive a copy of Campfire Cuisine: Gourmet Recipes for the Great Outdoors.
In today’s world of digital photography, RVers should never hesitate to indulge their whim for a photo shoot. A string of photos can serve as a marvelous reminder of good days, gorgeous sunsets, new friends, favorite moments, and places to see again.
